If you think the restroom at a Phoenix dollar store is an inappropriate place to strip down for an impromptu naked picnic featuring items you stole from the store, you're right. However, if you just got out of jail and have been doing meth for four days, it might not seem all that taboo -- which apparently was the case for a Scottsdale man.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, two female employees at the Dollar Tree in the 3900 block of East Thomas Road in Phoenix noticed water flowing  from under the door of the store's restroom. The woman knocked on the door, and there he was: 31-year-old Shane Christian Chavis, naked and chowing down on food he'd taken from the store.

In addition to some potato chips, canned peaches, and other food products Chavis had lifted, police later found blood and a hypodermic needle in the bathroom's sink.

Before police arrived, Chavis managed to put his clothes back on and find his way into the storeroom, where he proceeded to play with Easter decorations and Silly String.

According to court docs, Chavis sprayed at least 10 cans of Silly String "all over" the storeroom.

When police arrived, Chavis still had two cans of Silly String in his pockets. He also had a baggy of black-tar heroin, a knife, and several hypodermic needles stashed in a backpack he was carrying.

Chavis was arrested and later told cops he was dealing with several personal problems. Ya think?

He told officers he had lost his job, his apartment, and had just been released from jail days earlier.

Rather than go the straight and narrow after hisl, Chavis told police he'd been awake and doing meth for four days.

Chavis has been charged with one count of shoplifting, one count of indecent exposure, one count of drug possession, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
