They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but maybe not this time.

Remember a local new wave/punk band from the 80s called Liquid Visual? Then the name George Maestri might ring a bell. We hear his sister, Jane Smith, was a fairly well-known performance artist/amateur taxidermist. (Now that’s a combo!)

Maestri left Phoenix a while ago for San Francisco and now Los Angeles, where he runs an animation company called Rubber Bug. Our homeboy has been busy this week. Check out his latest creation, which is animated for sure, but not the way you’re thinking.

Poor Britney. She’s so yesterday’s YouTube.
