Map: Which parts of Phoenix got the most rain last night

The Valley was on track for one of the driest monsoons ever. We probably don’t have to worry about that anymore.

Phoenix got its first big haboob of 2025 last night, followed by a rip-roaring monsoon. Many areas of central Phoenix got soaked. This year had been on pace to be one of the driest monsoons in Phoenix history, but last night's storm probably ended that threat.

But what areas of the Valley got hit the most? Well, if you live in Phoenix or the southeast Valley, you probably don't need to run your sprinklers today. If you want a closer look, here's the 24-hour rainfall map kept by the Maricopa County Flood Control District.

Here's a list of the Valley areas that got the most rainfall.

1. South Mountain: 0.79-1.18 inches

If you were in the South Mountain Park and Preserve during the storm — let's hope you weren't that foolhardy — you got the most rain of anyone. If you live near that area, perhaps in Ahwatukee Foothills, you also got loads of rain.

2. Chandler: 0.55-0.98 inches

Chandler was directly in the path of the haboob, and the storm that came right behind it. The area south of Loop 202 got nearly an inch of rain.

3. Central Phoenix: 0.51-0.91 inches

After coming up through the Southeast Valley, the storm ran right up the middle of Phoenix. Parts of Arcadia got roughly half an inch, while around the Biltmore and Alhambra near Interstate 17 got closer to an inch.
