Morning Poll -- Kevin Kolb to be Arizona Cardinals New QB: Yay or Nay?

The Arizona Cardinals made it official: untested quarterback Kevin Kolb will be the team's new quarterback.

The pick, however, is not necessarily a popular one.

Kolb reportedly has agreed to a five-year deal worth up to $63 million, with about $20 million in guarantees. In exchange for Kolb, the Cardinals have sent Pro Bowl cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Last season, Kolb completed 115 of 189 passes for a total of 1,197 yards in five games played. He also threw seven interceptions, which led to a passer rating of 76.1.

Arizona Republic sports columnist Paola Boivin penned a column for the paper's website this morning saying the Cards have "bet big" on the untested Kolb.

From Boivin's column

The Cardinals made Kevin Kolb, who has only seven career starts, an extremely rich man Thursday because quarterbacks are one of the most prized commodities in professional sports. A team's chances for a Super Bowl title increase exponentially with the talents of its signal caller.

Many will call the move crazy. I call it necessary.

We want to know what you think: are you happy with the deal made to get Kolb?
