The 2010 Village Voice Media series "Amongst U.S." has been selected to receive the Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism at a March 30 ceremony at Hunter College in New York City. Writers from VVM newspapers across the country contributed to the series, including Monica Alonzo, Stephen Lemons, and Paul Rubin; executive editor Michael Lacey; and freelance contributor Terry Greene Sterling at New Times.
