Remember when Michael Jackson awkwardly kissed his then-wife, Lisa Marie Presley, at the 1994 MTV Music Video Awards and then turned to the crowd and infamously said, "And just think, nobody thought this would last"?

Richie announced the wedding about four hours ago on Twitter by simply "tweeting" "Married."

That "tweet" follows some of his tweets from Saturday night, including, "Hasn't seen this many girls since the Reagan administration. You are welcome," "They say I am Rat Pack 2.0 love it." and, our favorite, "I know it looks like I got butt raped."

Check out all of Richie's douche-tastic "tweets" from the weekend here.

According to TMZ, the pair tied the knot at The Little White Wedding Chapel -- the same house of awful decisions where Brittany Spears and former husband Jason Alexander got married in 2004 -- where they reportedly opted for the "Michael Jordan Package,"
a $519 value that includes 36 pro photos and a DVD copy of the wedding.

While Richie is boasting his recent nuptials on his Twitter page, Lamas hasn't confirmed that the wedding even took place.

Can you blame her?
