The movement that brought hundreds of protesters to the Arizona Capitol twice since the inauguration of President Donald Trump will be back on Tuesday.

Organized on Reddit — and now a developing website — grassroots organizers who arranged the 50501 protest on Feb. 7 and “No Kings on Presidents’ Day” protest on Feb. 17 are organizing another day of action in front of the Capitol.

On Tuesday, hundreds of protesters protest the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration, his federal funding freeze, his attack on transgender rights, and his empowerment of Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency. This time, they’re calling it “March Fourth Against Monarchy.” Get it?

Here’s what you should know.

When is Arizona’s ‘March Fourth Against Monarchy’ protest?

Well, it’s in the name. In Phoenix, the protest will start at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4. It’s slated to last until 6 p.m. The organizers of 50501 are also planning protests across the country that day.

Where is Arizona’s ‘March Fourth Against Monarchy’ protest?

The protest is at the Arizona Capitol in downtown Phoenix. The address is 1700 W. Washington St., Phoenix, AZ 85007.

How can I get involved in the protest?

You can get involved through the Reddit channel r/50501. Arizona organizers also now have a website at 50501az.org.

Who is organizing this protest?

Like the 50501 and “No Kings” protests in February, it’s being organized on social media and through Reddit.

What should I know before I go to the protest?

On the Capitol grounds, protesting and other organizing activities must be conducted between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. Here are other Capitol regulations:
  • Protesters must also keep 10 feet away from all buildings and minimize damage to state property.
  • To amplify sound, an event application must be submitted 10 days prior, otherwise “volume must be reduced to a reasonable level.” An event application is not required if no sound will be amplified.
  • Equipment, including banners and signs, may not be staked into the ground or otherwise affixed to landscapes, sidewalks or buildings.
Protesters are also encouraged to bring their own signs, banners, posters and flags. If you want a flag, there’ll likely be someone there to sell one to you.

How can I get to the Capitol?

There is public parking at the Capitol on both the House and Senate sides on 17th Avenue between Adams and Jefferson streets. Additional parking is available at the Capitol parking lot on 19th Avenue and Jefferson Street.

If you want to take public transportation, you can take the Valley Metro Lightrail, get off at 12th and Washington streets and then take the free Downtown DASH bus at Washington Street and 5th Avenue.

You can also take a Valley Metro bus, which stops near the Capitol, including at Van Buren Street and 17th Avenue.

Are there any other protests happening in Arizona?

Arizona’s 50501 movement is also organizing a protest at Flagstaff City Hall at 12 p.m., dubbing it “March 4th for Democracy.” The protest will go until 6 p.m. and will take place at 211 W Aspen Ave.
