Phoenix Police Chief Jack Harris Probably Will Be Reassigned to Fire Admin Building; City Manager Will Discuss Future of PD Later Today

A press conference regarding the flawed kidnapping statistics published by the Phoenix Police Department has been bumped from Friday to 2:30 p.m. today at City Hall.

The city's notice doesn't give any indication of what the fate of Phoenix Police Chief (Public Safety Manager) Jack Harris will be, but sources tell New Times that Harris will be reassigned to the Fire Administration building.

Some City Hall insiders speculate that his role will involve homeland-security issues.
