When burglary suspect Marshawn Floyd Phillips broke into the home of a Phoenix woman demanding “pussy” early Wednesday morning, he probably didn’t expect to get beaten with a prosthetic leg — but that’s exactly what happened.

According to court records obtained by New Times, Phillips broke into the victim’s 24th Street home about 1:35 a.m. Wednesday and — after locking the door behind him and turning on a light — immediately started sexually assaulting her.

Phillips, police say, pulled down the woman’s shirt and started sucking on her breasts, despite the woman’s repeated requests for him to stop.

“Give me pussy,” Phillips told the woman several times as she tried to fight off his unwanted advances.

The victim then grabbed her prosthetic leg and started to beat Phillips
with it until he wrestled it away from her and threw it under a bed.

The woman then tried to grab a cell phone to call police. However,
Phillips wrestled the phone away from her, too, and then ran out of the
apartment. He was arrested shortly after.

After he was taken into custody, Phillips admitted to breaking into the
woman’s apartment with the intention of stealing money from her. He told
cops that when the woman started screaming, he grabbed the phone and
took off.

Phillips was booked into a Maricopa County jail on one count each of
burglary, sexual assault, and sexual abuse. His next court appearance is
scheduled for November 2.
