Shooting at LAX Affecting Several Flights Out of Phoenix

A shooting at the Los Angeles International Airport has really messed up some flight plans at Sky Harbor in Phoenix.

A TSA officer was shot and killed in an LAX terminal, and others were injured, which has resulted in 15 flights being canceled or delayed here in Phoenix.

Airport officials recommend you check the flight status with the airline before heading to the airport hoping to catch a ride to L.A.

Some flights that were already on their way ended up getting diverted to other airports.

Some unlucky travelers from Phoenix got a round-trip flight back to Phoenix.

UPDATE 2:29 p.m.: Sky Harbor officials now say some flights to LAX are departing.
