Here is your guide to today's spring training games, as well as a look at some of yesterday's games that most Valley baseball fans actually care about (sorry, Royals fans, there's nothin' here for you unless your boys happen to play against the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers, or the Cubs):
Arizona Diamondbacks: The D-backs got thumped 10-3 by the Chicago White Sox yesterday, but the news gets worse. Justin Upton, whom the D-backs just signed to a $51 million contract, suffered an ankle injury in the second inning and was pulled from the game. Right now, Upton's saying the injury isn't serious, but we'll see what the doctors have to say after an MRI.
Chicago Cubs: The Cubbies beat the crap out of the Texas Rangers 12-1 yesterday and may have found someone for that fifth-starter position. Sean Marshall threw four good innings, giving up one unearned run, three hits, and five strikeouts. Lou Piniella is expected make a decision on the Cubs' fifth starter on Friday.
Los Angeles Dodgers: The Dodgers didn't play.
