Teen Who Stomped/ Sodomized Alleged Hooker to Death Over "Wetback" Comment Sentenced to Prison

A Phoenix teen convicted of murdering a hooker after she called him a "wetback" has been sentenced to some lengthy prison time after being convicted of murder, kidnapping, and sexual abuse in September.

That teen, 16 at the the time of the 2008 murder, is Jose Quintero -- and he better not have anywhere he needs to be for the next 48-and-a-half years.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Michael Kemp sentenced Quintero to 25 years to life in prison for the murder (with possibility of parole after 25 years), 21 years for the kidnapping, and 2-and-a-half years for sexual assault. The sentences are to run consecutively.

If you're unfamiliar with Quintero's story, get ready to lose all faith in humanity -- it involves an old hooker, a missing face, and sodomy with a stick.

Just before Christmas 2008, Quintero was walking on a Phoenix street late at night when he bumped into Helen Coulter, a 38-year-old hooker who'd been ridden hard and put away wet.

She'd just gotten out of prison where she did time for forgery, identity theft, and drug convictions.

According to True Crime Report, Coulter was "not exactly a retiring belle" and "she likely didn't trade herself on the high end of the fleshly commodities chain. The 39-year-old walked with a cane due to medical problems."

That didn't stop Quintero from trying to get a little play.

According to witnesses, Quintero repeatedly pestered the woman for sex. She responded by calling him a "wetback." Rather than ignoring the slur, Quintero opted to keep it real.

He punched Coulter in the face, knocking her to the ground, and then dragged her to a nearby field.

He then spent the next 30-45 minutes stomping on her head and throat to the point medics said there wasn't much left of her face.

Then, to quote TCR, "just to be a complete shitbag, he also sodomized her with a stick,
then left her body in the field to rot in the Phoenix sun."

All that over a racial slur from a hooker, when he could have simply ignored the ignorant comment and walked away. Now he'll spend nearly half-a-century in prison.
