Attorney General Terry Goddard released a new campaign ad calling out Governor Jan Brewer for her case of debate-a-phobia.

Last week, we told you about what we’re considering the best decision of Brewer’s gubernatorial career: she vowed not to participate in more debates.

A great move considering what happened last time, which, as always, we’ll show you after the jump.

Brewer spun last week that people “know what Terry Goddard stands for, and they know what Jan Brewer stands for, so I’m going to take my message and my information and my plans for the future out to the people in a different venue.”

She went on to say, “I said long before the first debate that that would be the one that was done — the one that was required by the Clean Elections Commission — and that has been done and we will move forward.”

Goddard, as you might imagine, would love to recreate Jan’s epic moment of silence in another debate and has released an ad challenging her to one.

In the ad — which you can see here — Goddard, for a split second, almost sounds like a tough guy.

He says after the first debate Brewer “went into hiding” and says, “You would think, after such a bad night, she’d want to show voters she can think for herself.”

Goddard even asks “what are you afraid of, Jan.”

Goddard, who witnessed Jan’s brain fart firsthand, knows exactly what Jan’s afraid of: looking like an idiot — again — on television.

We contacted Brewer’s public-relations office last week to hit her press secretary, Paul Senseman, with a hypothetical: if Goddard schedules a debate without Brewer’s agreeing to it, would she just not show up.

As usual, we were told Senseman would get back to us. As usual, he didn’t.
