Twilight Author Stephenie Meyer, Indy 500 Driver Danica Patrick and John McCain Finalists for Time's Top 100

Three high-profile Arizonans are finalists for the "Time 100," Time Magazine's list of the 100 most influential people of the year. They are:

*Stephenie Meyer, Gilbert resident and author of the popular novel, Twilight. Read about Meyer in New Times' 2007 feature story about her.

*Danica Patrick, the short-but-sweet Indy 500 driver who lives in Scottsdale and makes sexy ads for her hometown's Internet domain seller, Godaddy.com. We couldn't help but take note of Patrick's second appearance in the last month's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

*John McCain. Yup, New Times has written about him before, too.

Good luck, women.
