U.S. Marshals and Tempe PD Catch Fugitive Ketamine Raper in Miami

Authorities in Miami working with Tempe PD finally nabbed Antonio Julio Sanchez, a fugitive who has been on the run for 10 years, convicted of slipping Ketamine into women's drinks and then raping them while filming it.

U.S. Marshals working with Tempe PD caught Sanchez Wednesday in Miami, who was living under the name Antonio Anderson Erin Pina

On March 18, 2001 Sanchez and his cousin Mazon Diamond drugged a woman at a Tempe bar with Ketamine and took her to their apartment. The two raped the woman and filmed it. They did the same thing five days later to another woman.

Sanchez and Diamond both plead guilty, and were convicted on two counts of sexual assault and two counts of kidnapping. But come sentencing time, the two ditched out and went on the lam.

Tempe PD started looking into the case a decade later, and contacted the U.S. Marshals office to help chase leads in Utah, Texas and Florida. Diamond is still hiding. Here's a picture of Diamond in case you've seen him skulking around your neighborhood or at the grocery store.
