After two failed bids for statewide office in Arizona, MAGA diehard Kari Lake may finally be jumping ship. And Phoenix New Times readers are more than happy to see her go.

Last Friday, MS NOW reported that Lake purchased a $60,000 condo in eastern Iowa, a possible sign that she could be gearing up for a Senate run in the state where she was raised. The outlet speculated that Lake may be posturing for a run for a seat held by longtime Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, who is up for reelection in 2028. Grassley has not said he’s retiring, but he’d be 95 on Election Day if he ran again.

For many New Times readers, the condo purchase was an exciting development in the Kari Lake saga. Nearly 850 people commented on New Times’ Facebook page, sharing our story of Lake’s potential plans to inflict herself upon a different state. And they had fun celebrating.
