Samy and Amy Bouzaglo, the owners of Amy's Baking Company in Scottsdale, are close to selling their restaurant on Scottsdale Road and Shea, according to the Phoenix Business Journal. The couple says it has an international buyer interested and that a deal that could be finalized as early as next month.

Amy's Baking Company rose to fame in 2013 after a drama-filled episode of Kitchen Nightmares aired. Comments flooded the restaurant's Facebook page, garnering irate responses from someone controlling the page (the Bouzaglos claimed they were hacked.)

Still, this may not be the end for Amy and Samy. The two reportedly plan to sell custom desserts all over the Valley. Part of the reason they want to close, they said, was because of a strange odor at the restaurant. Last September, hazmat crews were called to the restaurant for a sewer smell, and were quickly cleared.

We contacted the Bouzaglos about the sale, but the couple decline to comment.
