Good lord, there are a lot of festivals going on. Last week we had competing barbecue festivals and this week we have everything else. Our poor little foodie heads are about to explode! To be sure you don't miss anything, here is a quick run down of the April food events going down in the Valley of the Sun.
My Nana's Best Tasting Salsa Challenge at Tempe Beach Park Saturday, April 2nd. Spend the day sampling competing salsas and sipping margs lakeside. Gates open at 11 a.m. $10 per person.
Original Taste of Scottsdale at the Scottsdale Waterfront, Saturday, April 2nd. Hang out under the stars and sample cuisine from more than 30 Valley restaurants in this upscale event to benefit the boys and girls clubs of Scottsdale. $150-$250 per person. 21+ only.
Queen Creek Olive Mill's Annual Olive Blossom Festival, Saturday April 2nd. Enjoy wine tastings, product tastings from QCOM, Laura's Gourmet Granola, Miss Poppy's Popcorn and more plus learn about olive oil with a tour of the mill. Visit www.queencreekolivemill.com for more information.
8th Annual Forks & Corks, Thursday, April 7th. Valley restaurants, wineries and brewers have teamed up with CityScape for an evening of eats and drinks. What else are you gonna do on a Thursday? $65-$125 per person.
