Owned by Isamary Diaz and daughter Vanessa, who also operate three Armando's fast-food Mexican spots in the Valley, Poblano opened in a standalone building at 3317 North 19th Avenue (19th Avenue and Osborn Road) in late 2011.

The sit-down restaurant, which also sported a drive-through, featured food from Mexico City, Puebla, and Oaxaca.

Dishes included standard eats like tacos, enchiladas, and burritos as well as entrees like a poblano pepper stuffed with veggies, cheese, or ground beef and a quesadilla sampler featuring spicy peppers, shredded chicken, zucchini flowers, and huitlacoche.
