For those full-up with fast food, pizza, or a weekend's worth of cheap beer, a new healthy eats spot coming to Tempe aims to provide a bit of balance.
D'Lish Kitchen and Coffee House, a health-conscious eatery complete with a drive-thru for good food on the go, is opening its second location on Monday, April 23, at 1135 East Apache Boulevard in Tempe (southwest corner of Apache Boulevard and Terrace Road.)
Courtesy of owners Chad and Brooke Knudson, who opened their first location in Old Town Scottsdale in 2009, D'Lish in Tempe will continue to offer healthy, made-to-order food and drinks to breakfast, lunch, and dinner guests. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free items are also available.

For breakfast, think veggie and traditional burritos and Oatmeal Our Way made with organic quinoa and vanilla macaroon granola. Lunch and dinner dishes include the hearty "Man" salad, chicken breast panini, and protein-packed black bean burger "Top Notch" style with grilled onions, bacon, swiss, and barbecue sauce served on an artisan bun.
D'lish also offers a drink menu of coffee, teas, smoothies, and a protein shake called the Breakfast Buzz with vitamins and minerals, banana, choice of milk, peanut butter, and espresso shots.
And with all items under ten bucks, it should be easy to eat healthy on the cheap.
