The First Draft Book Bar, located inside the new Changing Hands Bookstore in Phoenix, is now open, along with the rest of The Newton, the mixed-use multi-tenant space on Third Avenue and Camelback Road. Both the bookstore and the bar opened on Friday, May 30.
The First Draft Book Bar is pouring coffee and beer and wine on tap and offers a menu of small bites and snacks, as well as happy hour deals Monday through Friday.

The 30-seat bar is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Happy hour is offered from 4 to 6 p.m Monday through Friday with $1 off beer and wine on tap.
Also located within The Newton, which took over the space formerly occupied by Beef Eaters Restaurant, is Southern Rail, a new restaurant from chef Justin Beckett.
