The flurry of new restaurant openings across the Valley continues this week with the launch of several new branches of old favorites, as well as a brand-new Mesa coffee shop.
Carolina’s Mexican Food finally opened in Mesa on June 1
In case you missed it, the long-awaited opening of this beloved micro chain's Mesa location opened on the northwest corner of Country Club Drive and U.S. 60 last week. The family-run business has four other locations, the first of which opened in 1968. The launch has been delayed several times since its announcement last year, but as of this week, Mesa residents can now get their burrito and tostada fix close to home.
The Organic Bean Cafe is opening today, June 9, in Downtown Mesa
This family-owned, health-conscious cafe is opening at 40 North MacDonald Street in Mesa today, with a grand opening featuring live music and tarot readings (okay...) from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight. The shop will be serving up organic, fair-trade coffee and food and beverage options for vegan, gluten-free, and ketogenic diets, including the infamous ketogenic bulletproof coffee made with organic coconut oil and organic grass-fed butter. In keeping with their earth- and health-savvy theme, the shop itself is a sustainable project, made entirely of repurposed materials.
