Forks up, Phoenix! Chow Bella and Roosevelt Row present the sixth annual Pie Social at 2 on Saturday, November 21, at the Bioscience High School at 512 E. Pierce Street in Phoenix. We've got an all-star lineup of bakers making pies for you to taste, and from now till Pie Social, we'll introduce them to you, one by one through pie charts designed by each chef to capture his or her persona as a baker.
Today: LaDawn Driscoll of Liberty Market
Since 2013 LaDawn Driscoll has been the creative force behind all things pastry at Liberty Market in Gilbert. And like the chef, the pastries at the popular neighborhood eatery — which range from banana cream pie and kouign amann to chocolate cake and Salt River Bars — are known for being ever-changing and always inventive. Before joining the Liberty Market team, the Pie Social veteran worked for The Herb Box, but the move to one of Gilbert's best loved restaurant's brings things full circle for Driscoll, who's parents lived close to where the former grocery store is located.
