Italian cuisine (or some form of it) has once again made its way into the space at Goldwater Boulevard and Indian School Road in Old Town Scottsdale. Perhaps the third time will be a charm.

The former home of Cuoco Pazzo (and chef Peter DeRuvo, who spent a little over four months there) as well as the American/Italian comfort food spot T. Roosevelt's Tavern, the newest iteration is Evo, an Italian dinner spot that stays up late.

Describing itself as "that comfy, sexy, cozy Italian restaurant you've been searching for" and offering "modern and delicious food for the experienced restaurant consumer," Evo, which opened in late April, features a modest listing of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pasta, meat and fish entrees, and desserts. And for those who care to imbibe, there are cocktails, craft beer, wine, and draft spirits of Fernet Branca and Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey.

The Republic reports Evo is owned by Nick Neuman, a local entrepreneur the Rana family (who owned both Cuoco Pazzo and T. Roosevelt's and who currently own Mad Chef Gastropub in Chandler) sold their interests to in mid-March.

Hours: 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Happy hour daily from 4 to 7 p.m. Reverse happy hour nightly from dinner until 1:30 a.m.
