Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

MF Tasty Tasty
Remember last year when chef Eric Gitenstein started up his super secret supper club MF Tasty? Well guess what, he’s still doing it and his next dinner is just around the corner and, like the rest, quickly on its way to selling out. This month’s dinner, What What in the Truck (love it!), features Mexican street corn soup, an open-faced egg sandwich topped with horseradish bacon cream cheese, Cornish game hens served with waffles and fois gras butter and his signature “not licensed by Reese’s” peanut butter cup. We can’t tell you where it will take place, that part is super secret. We do know that you can email chefEWG@gmail.com for reservations. $50 per person.

Funnnnnnel Cake
The State Fair seems so far off and we want funnel cake now. Instead of pouting and wishing for things that cannot magically appear, we are going to make it ourselves. It can’t be that hard, right? We found this recipe for Mini Funnel Cakes with lots of step-by-step photos to help us through the process. Time to get frying!
