Hungry Mesa-ites who want to check out the city's newest casual Hong Kong eatery might want to pop into Sai Wan Chinese Bistro tonight for its grand opening.
Starting at 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 22, and located at 6638 East Superstition Springs Boulevard in Mesa (near Superstition Springs Center and next to Red Robin Gourmet Burgers), Sai Wan will offer free appetizers from 6 to 8 p.m. and drink specials all night long.
The Republic reports Sai Wan Chinese Bistro is owned by restaurateur Eddie Chan (who ran the now defunct Eddie Chan's Asian Bistro in north Scottsdale and several other Chinese restaurants in the Valley), who says his new restaurant will serve all Asian foods, but mostly Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
The Republic goes on to say that Chan's menu recommendations include the Five Dragon entree made with scallops, shrimp, beef, chicken, fish, and sautéed vegetables ($15.95), and the Singapore Noodle, featuring shrimp, chicken, and vegetables served with rice noodles and curry sauce ($8.95).
