The Shops at Gainey Ranch will soon be getting a taste of Northern Italian fine dining with La Prima Donna, a new restaurant scheduled to open in early September.
From restaurateur Giovanni Leonel, whose resume includes positions at Tomaso’s, Eli’s American Grill, and Gianfranco Ristorante, the 120-seat La Prima Donna, located at 7704 East Doubletree Ranch Road in Scottsdale, will feature a seasonal menu of Italian fare, four nightly chef selections, and tableside cooking.
Then there’s the happy hour.
In addition to five-course chef’s table wine dinners in a private dining room on the last Thursday of the month, La Prima Donna will also host happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and feature free pasta and appetizers as well as a half-off food and drink menu.
