Shiv Supper Club, located in the former home of Mint Ultra Lounge on Camelback Road, is described on its website as a place where “culinary artistry meets immersive entertainment.” The 13,869-square-foot venue will house a main dining area, multiple bars and a patio, plus a separate dessert concept. Shiv Supper Club will also feature nightly entertainment in both the main dining room and dessert room.
This is the latest venture from Scottsdale-based Riot Hospitality Group, founded in 2010 by Arizona native Ryan Hibbert. The group owns and operates multiple restaurants and nightlife venues in the Valley, including Maya Day and Nightclub, Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row and Farm & Craft.
Billed as Scottsdale’s first and only supper club, Shiv marks the hospitality group’s first foray into fine dining (the group also plans to open another high-end restaurant in Scottsdale called Calle Rosa at a later date). Lissa Druss, a spokesperson for Riot Hospitality Group, says that Shiv Supper Club is a natural complement for a neighborhood saturated with bars and nightclubs.
“When we find a location, we decide on what we’ll open based on what best fits the community's needs,” Druss says. “In this case, it was a fine dining restaurant.”

Shiv Supper Club will take over the former Mint Ultra Lounge space on Camelback Road.

While Shiv Supper Club certainly fits the description of an old-school supper club, Druss describes the establishment as a destination transcending the sometimes stuffy fine dining experience.
“Not only is it a culinary experience, it's also a sensory experience for lighting and music," Druss says. "Your eyes are never going to be tired of looking at something."

At Shiv Supper Club, "your eyes are never going to be tired of looking at something," says company spokesperson Lissa Druss.

Many items on the dinner menu will be presented tableside, like the charcoal-fired tomahawk steak and truffle butter bread. Other menu highlights include seafood offerings such as scallop crudo made with citrus buttermilk cream and Aleppo-spiced strawberry jus. Shiv Supper Club will also offer multiple caviar options, including a signature caviar dome with fresh lobster and house-baked brioche.
“You're not coming to Shiv just for a baked potato and steak,” Druss says.
Riot Hospitality Group is staying tight-lipped about other aspects of the restaurant, including the beverage program and dessert room. In a press release, the group said it will “feature bespoke drinks designed to captivate the senses” and incorporate items like distinct martinis and signature cocktails alongside a robust wine list.
The restaurant’s concept-within-a-concept, Dessert Room by Shiv, will focus on decadent desserts and Champagne. It will also feature a separate lineup of “elevated” entertainment, according to the release.
“You don’t have to eat at Shiv to have dessert at the Dessert Room,” Druss says. “It’s an after-dinner enjoyable escape for anyone.”
