This Roosevelt Row eatery is hitting the road. Find Lovebite at Coachella

When Coachella organizers reached out to Lovebite, it didn't seem real. But the cute dumpling briefcases are headed to Indio.

Lovebite Dumpling, the hip, fast-casual dumpling shop on Roosevelt Row, is going on tour. The Phoenix restaurant will serve revelers at the Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival starting on Friday.

Phoenicians who travel to Indio, California, for the three-day event headlined by Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone will find Lovebite among food vendors at Terrance South.

Owner Angel Gould shared she is “beyond excited” for Lovebite to be part of Coachella. The one-year-old restaurant has built a following locally for its affordability, quick service and a social media presence that blends a high-fashion photography aesthetic with Gen Z swag.

“We were actually approached by the festival organizers – they loved our concept and branding, which was such an incredible moment for us,” Gould shared via email. “At first, we couldn’t believe it, but the more we thought about it, the more we realized just how perfect our brand is for Coachella.”

Festival goers will be able to order Lovebite’s standard menu, which works in a build-your-own format. First, customers can choose a base of coconut dragonfruit pink rice, noodles, mixed greens or a combination. Next, make a selection between vegetable, chicken, shrimp or pork dumplings, and then pick a sauce from yuzu soy, spicy Sriracha or Kewpie mayo.

Each meal is composed in a box, which when closed, has two tabs that pop up. When Lovesack’s bamboo utensils are slid between the tabs, it becomes a portable dumpling briefcase. The cute and practical packaging was appealing to festival planners, too, Gould shared, noting attendees can “grab a bite and keep enjoying the music without missing a beat.”

Lovebite is a rare Coachella food option from outside of Southern California.

“Bringing our flavors and energy from Phoenix is something we’re incredibly proud of,” Gould said. “It’s a chance to show festival-goers what our city has to offer and put our unique spin on festival dining.”

Can't make it to Coachella? Lovebite will maintain its normal hours in Phoenix while serving at the festival this weekend and next.
