Mendocino Farms will open its first location in the state in Scottsdale next year. This debut outpost will find its home at Scottsdale Promenade, at the northeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Paradise Lane.
The restaurant chain launched in 2005 and has grown to include about 80 locations, largely in California, as well as Austin, Chicago, Denver and Seattle. This soon-to-arrive restaurant is part of Mendocino Farms' "broader expansion strategy," according to a news release from the company.
“Arizona has been a key growth market on our list as we continue expanding our footprint across the U.S.,” Kevin Miles, CEO of Mendocino Farms, said in the release. “We look forward to joining Scottsdale’s vibrant dining scene and creating a welcoming space for guests to gather and enjoy delicious, fresh meals when we open in 2026.”
Mendocino Farms’ menu includes salads, sandwiches, soups and sides. Popular items include the Thai Mango Salad and a “Not So Fried” Chicken Sandwich with “Mendo’s krispies,” which the restaurant describes as a “crunchy, herby, butter-milk polenta topping.”
Soup and side options include Corn and Hatch Chile Soup and Basil Pesto Shells. The restaurant menu changes based on what’s in season. A vegan watermelon poke salad is among the current summer specials. Drink selections include aguas frescas, iced tea and lemonades, including a version with pomegranate and mint, per the restaurant's online menu.

The Scottsdale restaurant will include indoor and outdoor dining. The chain has about 80 eateries in California, Illinois, Texas, Washington and Colorado.

The restaurant is a popular lunchtime destination, especially for those seeking a fast meal on the go. The Scottsdale restaurant will be about 3,000 square feet and include a 500-square-foot patio.
Mendocino Farms will join more than a dozen restaurants at the shopping center. Other dining options include locally owned spots Chin Up Donuts, Original ChopShop and Someburros and larger chains such as Paris Baguette, The Capital Grille and Kura Revolving Sushi Bar.

Harrison Cole, a leasing and development manager with Vestar, the team that oversees the Promenade, anticipates that Mendocino Farms “will quickly become a local favorite.”
“Their commitment to feel-good food made with wholesome, high-quality ingredients makes them a perfect fit for this health-conscious community,” he said in the release.
