In September 1964, after nearly eight years of planning, a major project debuted on the corner of Apache Boulevard and Mill Avenue: ASU Gammage. Designed in part by Phoenix-favorite architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the 3,000-seat performance hall has since become a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike.

With summer temperatures scorching the Valley, there’s no better time to get inside and catch a show. Before curtain call, here’s where to grab some food and drinks.

Soup, sandwiches, burgers and build-your-own plates are available for those not throwing back oysters, and once you’re full and happy, it’s just a 10-minute walk over to the show.
