How do they make such tasty Thai food at Malee's? Incredibly, the folks at this long-running Old Town fave are willing to give you the lowdown on how they make some of their most popular dishes -- for a price, of course.
That price ($60) includes a two-hour cooking class and a post-lesson luncheon with wine. But if you have a Thai food addiction like yours truly, it's money well-spent, since you can start whipping up the good stuff at home.
The March class is on "Malee's Famous Chili Reduction Sauce Recipes," and will cover the chili reduction sauce, tom ka gai, crispy basil chicken, and spicy cashew chicken. Sessions run from noon to 2 p.m. on two dates -- March 14 and 28.
For April, the subject is "Peanut Lover's Special," with recipes for Malee's peanut sauce, chicken satay, peanut pork curry, and spinach chicken with peanut sauce. This class also runs from noon to 2 p.m., on April 11 and 25.
