Support the independent voice of Phoenix and help keep the future of New Times free.
Looks like folks in North Phoenix will soon get a taste of The Habit Burger Grill, the California-based burger joint best known for its made-to-order "Charburgers," smoke-flavored patties grilled over an open flame.
Established in 1969 and with over 30 locations in California, The Habit Burger Grill came to Arizona in May, opening its first stand in Tempe. We were lucky enough to get a taste and judging by the continued crowds, the next two planned locations, North Phoenix and Chandler, will be just as successful.
The new Habit Burger will be at the old Unlimited Coffee shop (which closed last August), next to Imperial Market & Deli (where I recently crushed a tasty, stacked-high pastrami on challah bread.) A construction worker told me they had just started the renovations and hope to be finished sometime in August. Habit Burger 745 East Glendale Avenue (Glendale Avenue and North 8th Place)
