Light Rail Party!

All aboard for the  3rd Tour de Light Rail pub crawl. Tomorrow night, you and a couple hundred of your closest new friends can leave your cars at home and travel in style on the light rail as it takes you from bar to bar. As long as you have on your fancy Tour de Light Rail t-shirt, you will be able to receive super-sweet discounts on food and beverages (of the adult variety) at various restaurants and bars along the light rail route. The fun begins at 4 p.m. at  George & Dragon on Central and ends at Macayo's Depot Cantina in Tempe. Tickets - which include your  shirt - are $35 per person and include one all day light rail pass. All proceeds will be donated to the Hemophilia Association. Click here for all the details and to purchase your ticket.

Tartine's Muffins

Have you ever sampled any of the baked goods from the famous Tartine Bakery in San Francisco? Neither have we. We did receive one of their beautiful cookbooks from a friend who lives in the area, though, and ever since Christmas,  we have been drooling over the pictures of perfect loaves of bread and flaky croissants dreaming of one day making every last thing in the book. Check out Miss Sarah Marie's beautifully photographs of her homemade Tartine English Muffin's over at her blog, Sweet Sonian.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
