There are a lot of things to be thankful for on Thanksgiving Day. For many families across Arizona, Rafi Law Group is one of them. Believing strongly that every family deserves to gather around a bountiful table, volunteers from the law firm partnered with St. Mary’s Food Bank on November 5 to get the giving season off to a generous start.

The 24 members of Team Rafi helped pack more than 2,000 holiday food boxes containing the works: cranberry sauce, pumpkin, vegetables, potatoes, stuffing and more. And since it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without a turkey on the table, Rafi Law Group also donated 500 turkeys to ensure that families across the state will sit down to a full and festive feast.

St. Mary’s is aiming to collect 24,000 turkeys, which will enable 120,000 Arizonans to serve the traditional centerpiece of the holiday meal. The food bank has seen record numbers of visitors in the past month. “Our goal is that the last car that leaves on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, has a turkey in the back seat,” says Jerry Brown, a spokesman for St. Mary’s.

Rafi Law Group’s contribution is an extension of the community service that’s at the heart of the organization. “The food bank kickoff was more than a volunteer event,” says Marketing Director Rich Yado. “It was a reminder of the impact we can make when we come together to invest in our community.”

Under founder Brandon B. Rafi’s leadership, the law group has grown into the state’s foremost personal injury firm, with seven offices across Phoenix and Tucson and a team of more than 250 professionals committed to serving the community around them.

The November 5 volunteer efforts are by no means the end of Team Rafi’s commitment to assisting neighbors in need. The law firm consistently dedicates its time and resources to good causes. So far in 2025, the Rafi’s Hope outreach initiative has contributed more than $350,000 and logged over 1,500 volunteer hours through events including backpack drives, food drives, and family meal service programs.

Rafi Law Group encourages everyone to help make the country’s biggest food holiday a joy for every neighbor by donating to St. Mary’s or other charitable causes throughout the state. A donation of $25 will provide a turkey for a hungry family. Online donations can be made here.
