Who is Henry Albatross? Perhaps he’s a crime-fighting superhero whose every move is punctuated with a “pow!” and a “bang!” Or he could be a solitary supervillain who lurks in the shadows like a total creeper, plotting to takeover the world.

The truth lies in “Henry Albatross (and other fictions),” a solo exhibition on display at Practical Art in which the show’s fictional namesake and related characters are brought to life on the canvases of local artist Joseph Ward. Presented in a comic book format, his series of oil portraits depicts the story of Henry Albatross and offers a look at the world through his eyes.
