It must be a bitch being better known as Nicole Richie’s fiancé than for your skills on the tables, but that seems to be the case with DJ AM (a.k.a. Adam Goldstein), at least outside of Hollywood and New York City. But for those in the know, AM’s developed a reputation as the ultimate A-list DJ over the last five years or so, being the preferred beatmonger for parties like Leo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire’s birthdays, Maxim’s Hot 100 party, Ashton Kutcher’s barbecue, and J-Lo’s engagement party (three engagements ago, if we’re counting right). AM’s known for rockin’ the party, culling records from classic rock to the latest Jay-Z joint to keep the bodies moving, and he’s hitting town this Thursday, October 6, at Myst in Scottsdale. Tickets are $10 in advance and the getdown goes from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.
