Modesty is not one of Crazy Angie’s better virtues. The charmingly foul-mouthed host of the weekly Goldfish Races at Giligin’s, 4251 North Winfield Scott Plaza, is rude, crude and brimming with attitude. Oh, and she’s also smoking hot to boot.
Crazy Angie acts as equal parts referee and roastmaster of the aquatic event — which involves patrons squirting the golden swimmers with water guns to get them to the finish line first — and isn’t shy about unleashing insults at customers, demeaning just about everyone in the bar with the scope of an equal opportunity offender.
A sense of propriety is pretty useless here, as the anything-goes-vibe at Giligan’s extends beyond the fishy run and $3 Coors Light Bombers. Case in point, for the ladies: Bare your chest and you’ll automatically win, despite how your goldfish performs. Thrill seekers looking for a glimpse of skin, greasy pub grub, and little good-natured disrespect will find plenty to dig on Wednesday, May 18.
