The fall music festival season in the Valley has gotten even busier.

That’s because the folks at local EDM promoter Relentless Beats have announced that the Goldrush Music Festival will return this fall, albeit with a slight change.

This year’s edition of the two-day event, which takes over Rawhide Western Town in Chandler, will take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29.

That’s a bit earlier in the fall than last year’s Goldrush, which happened in late November.

Editor's Picks

So why the change? According to Relentless Beats owner Thomas Turner, it’s because the company wanted to create some breathing room between its other fall festivals, including Boo! Arizona in late October and Decadence in late December.

Besides moving up a couple of months on the calendar, not much else about Goldrush has changed.

It will still feature a wild-west theme, multiple stages, and a variety of activities. More importantly, Goldrush will feature a mix of electronic dance music artists, DJs, and hip-hop artists, Turner says. Last year’s lineup, for instance, included such names as Lil Uzi Vert, Dillon Francis, Snow Tha Product, Migos, Marshmello, Flatbush Zombies, and Excision.

“That worked out really well at the event last year that we wanted to bring it back,” Turner says.

When it comes to who will be performing at this year’s festival, Relentless Beats is keeping that under wraps, at least until later this month.

Turner says they’ll announce the first phase of the Goldrush’s lineup within the next two weeks.

Stay tuned.
