You could spend Christmas Eve wrapping presents to an endless playlist of pop-star holiday albums while trying to explain to Grandma why you won’t be attending midnight mass. Or you could spend it drooling over the couture wardrobe of a famous Russian fashion model.
Tatiana Sorokko was the first Russian model to achieve international success, working the runway for Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, and pretty much every other major designer over the last two decades. Sorokko’s “Extending the Runway” collection, currently on display at the Phoenix Art Museum, features more than 60 designer garments and accessories from her personal wardrobe ranging from the early 20th century to today.
