It doesn’t get any more old school than C.L. McSpadden. In fact, the 36-year-old DJ extraordinaire has been working the wheels of steel since the late ’80s (long before some of y’all even knew what EDM was) at bygone Valley hotspots like Club Freedom, Planet Earth, and Club 411. This old dawg will be spinning new tracks, however, when he lays down some underground progressive house on Thursday, September 27, at Wok Star, 7136 East Shea Boulevard (inside Chop & Wok Restaurant) as part of Last Chance Thursday. McSpadden will be joined by locals D-Frag (of the Institute of Bass and Breaks), as well as Brook B. and Steve Kerr (both representing the Dirt Assassinz crew), all of whom will be dropping plenty of prog on your ass. Artists from the House of Flying Paint will also be in attendance to conduct live art demonstrations. The needles start dropping at 10 p.m. and there’s no cover. Call 480-483-1939.
