When we read in Cosmo about the rise of hot lesbian smooches on TV, we felt a little annoyed. Why can’t we do our LBGT friends justice with media portrayals that aren’t limited to hot girls making out?
You’ll see independent movies focusing on lesbian and gay characters who actually have meat to their personalities – and aren’t just Melrose Place floozies – during the Desperado Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. The inaugural event features a lineup of more than 10 films from around the world that have convincing storylines, characters, and (fingers crossed) believable same-gender makeouts.
