We don’t like hanging out with snowbirds any more than you do, but Heard Museum’s Ornament Marketplace is one of those events that’s worthy in spite of the slow-driving minions from Minnesota lookin’ to score Southwestern booty for the grandkids up in Mankato.
This is really good Southwestern booty.
The second annual event features singular seasonal adornments crafted from carved wood, pottery, and beads by 20-plus Native artisans. In addition, there’ll be live music by Aaron White and Anthony Wakeman and book signings by various authors.
The Marketplace is scheduled Friday through Sunday, November 27 through 29, at both Heard Museum, 2301 North Central Avenue, and Heard Museum North Scottsdale, 32633 North Scottsdale Road. Hours vary at each location. Admission to the Marketplace is free.
