The typical rockabilly gathering is rife with old-school cool, ranging from bitchin’ hot rods and vintage-tinged tunes to fellas dressed sharp and ladies dolled up in style. This Saturday’s Rockabilly Rules II at The Rhythm Room goes one step further and recalls the WWII-level of stateside support for our troops overseas.

Going beyond a magnetized yellow ribbon, the lovely lasses of the Pinup Angels put together care packages for those serving the good ol’ USA (proceeds from today’s shindig supports that effort). Expect a pretty badass car show featuring pre-1965 beauties of American muscle. The swinging sounds of Rooster Coup DeVille, Voodoo Swing, The Heymakers, and Midnight Howlers will fill the air while the burlesque enchantresses Lolita Haze, Mercy BeauCoup, Melissa Moxie, and Kara DeFleur let their hips and sways lead the way.
