$10,000

When we travel, we make sure to schedule an extra day or two off for recovery. The Phoenix Suns weren’t that lucky. With a league schedule that was heavy on road games in the thick of winter, the frequent-flyer miles added up; thus, diluting Steve Nash and company’s perch atop the Western Conference.

Now, though, the Suns get to mellow in the middle of some quality home time when they meet the Boston Celtics. The Men in Green have rocked the league and, at press time, loomed large with the best record in the Eastern Conference. The core of the Celtics’ 2008 championship team – veterans Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce – are still running things while new-ish point guard Rajon Rondo continues to settle into his role as ball-dishing maestro.
