Some guys think they can slap on some make-up, squeeze into a dress, and garble the words to a pop song, and that makes them drag queens. When it comes to Snatch: An Act of Drag Terrorism, the performances are taken much more seriously. The cast of more than 10 performers rehearsed their routine for two months, and they kick-off a three-week run of performances.

Snatch is more theater-minded than a silly bar performance, with a ensemble of drag queen veterans singing and dancing Broadway hits from shows such as Dreamgirls and Hairspray. There will also be videos and sketch comedy, which is a lot of bang for your buck considering the $5 admission fee.

“It’s a drag show for folks who don’t necessarily like drag shows,” says organizer and performer Scott Pierce.
