First Studio

The First Studio gallery in Downtown Phoenix represents quite an interesting piece of Arizona's history. The building was built in 1949 and served as the first television studio in Arizona, which is crazy because we can't imagine a world before HBO and infomercials. The building now houses a creative collective businesses, studio space for resident artists and exhibitions. They're showed work from ASU students and well-known local artists alike and are a favorite place to check out on First Fridays. It's a bright and beautifully painted building with an awesome mural of Wallace and Ladmo on the side. By far one of the most creative and historical spots in the city.
