The one-mile stretch of Grand Avenue between Seventh and 15th avenues in downtown Phoenix became a vibrant hurly-burly of art and activity on Saturday, November 14, during the daylong Grand Avenue Festival. A variety of live music, performances, exhibitions, and studio visits happened in and around the shops, galleries, art spaces, and venues along the historic thoroughfare in honor of the occasion, public art displays were also in abundance, and special events like the Untrashed Recycled Fashion Show also took place. The festival also included the Phoenix Annual Parade of the Arts, which was led by Dr. Rev. Stephen Strange and featured colorful, kooky, and costumed participants marching down Grand Avenue starting at dusk.
