The Food Network seems to do well in the Phoenix metro area, especially considering all the fun local joints that’ve been showcased on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, including Matt’s Big Breakfast, Aunt Lena’s Creamery, Chino Bandido Takee Outee, and Joe’s Farm Grill.

Soon, there’ll be another name to add to that illustrious list: Giuseppe’s Italian Kitchen. Have you ever been there? It’s a friendly, pint-sized Italian restaurant where the homemade food is super easy on the wallet. My colleague Paul Rubin introduced me to it years ago as a reliable lunch spot.

Owner Richard Bock can’t dish much about Guy Fieri’s visit to Giuseppe’s late last month, except to say that he loved it, and that the segment will be included in the first episode of next season, set to run sometime before May (uh, yeah, I agree, that’s pretty vague — I’ll keep you posted).
