Luxury chocolates have arrived in Old Town Scottsdale by way of Belgium — and just in time for holiday gift-giving.
Chocolade van Brugge, 4225 North Marshall Way, comes courtesy of local owners Frederiek and Christine Verbeke. The couple’s new shop, which opened in November, features an assortment of more than 60 different handcrafted chocolate confections, chocolate bars, marzipan, cookies, and chocolate figurines provided by Belgian chocolatier Francis Willaert.
And if that isn’t enough, it’s a cafe, too.

Along with its collection of Belgian sweet treats, which include chocolate figurines like snowmen, gnomes, and Yule logs, truffles with more than 24 different fillings, and mixed chocolates in gift boxes and baskets, Chocolade van Brugge also fancies itself an authentic Belgian cafe.
Here, guests can pop in for a coffee, build their own hot chocolate (you heard that right), and nibble on croissants indoors or on an outdoor patio.
Chocolade van Brugge is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. For details or to order chocolates online, check out their website.
